Hot Chocolate Cupcakes?

Question by Scurvy: Hot Chocolate Cupcakes?
I just saw a recipe on TV that made cupcakes look like little cups of hot chocolate! They were so cute! Only problem is they used White Cranberry juice instead of chocolate. Kinda confused me. Anyways, I don’t want to make “normal” chocolate cupcakes- I wanna make them with hot cocoa. Does anyone have a recipe with how much I would need? Thank you in advance

If you’re OK with experimenting I would say find any cupcake recipe and substitute the cocoa powder for hot coco mix, if it works then it works, if not, then don’t do it next time!

Jewels Asked: how do i color white chocolate shells after it settles?

I made chocolate shells to put on top of cupcakes for a party, I was wondering if i could use some kind of power dust to add color because i have seen it on tv with flowers. If you have any suggestions how to jazz them up. The theme is beach and i’m making chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting from scratch. And if you know where i can buy it like at a stop n shop, shaws, market basket where ever let me know in the comment

You can buy confection powders (applied with a brush) and liquids (applied with an air-brush) at stores like Sur la Table and Michael’s Arts & Crafts

I have icing sugar but how do u make icing with coco powder and icing sugar
PLEASE HELP!!!

Christine Kudra Answered:
Beat 1/4 cup butter with 1 cup cocoa powder (use unsweetened cocoa powder) until well combined. Beat in a teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/3 cup milk until well combined. Gradually beat in 3 cups icing sugar.

If it is too thin, add more icing sugar. If it is too thick, add more milk.

This makes quite a sweet chocolate frosting. You can increase the cocoa and decrease the icing sugar if you want a more chocolatey result.

Chocolate and Beet Cupcakes?

18 cupcakes, each a chance to taste a cocoa and beet combination!  The claim is that these cupcakes are “light, moist, and delicious.”

Personally, I’m opposed to hiding vegetables in a chocolate cake base, yet zucchini cake seems to be a favorite.  So it might be worth giving this recipe a try too…
