Chocolate Covered Pretzels Making

The best kind of pretzel is the rod type, since it can have its original taste, while still able to blend nicely with chocolate. This treat is so easy to prepare in your kitchen. Every family member will surely love it.

The process of making them is really simple and this crispy delicacy is so easy to whip up! The ingredients involved include pretzel sticks, semisweet dark chocolate, cookie sheet, wax paper and you can even use desiccated coconut. Just have your favorite pretzel ready and melt your favorite chocolate. Take them one at a time and dip them in chocolate half way as you place them on a waxed paper. Dip it ¾ length in the molten chocolate.

Let the pretzels cool down and wait till they harden. Place the wax paper over a cookie sheet. Put the snacks in the oven while still on the paper and let them remain until the coconut browns. Then you have a perfect treat for dessert! You can store them, too. Just make sure you use tightly closed containers.

The results will be good regardless of the type of pretzel you use. You can also opt for different varieties, this is not the limitation. You can even use peanut butter on them.

All it needs is a little creativity. Squeeze out your creative juices. Get them flowing. And you will have an awesome recipe. You can use a lot of different toppings. These may include peppermint candies, crushed nuts and other crushed chocolate candies.

What is a good replacement for wax paper when making chocolate covered pretzels?

Question by Melissa G: What is a good replacement for wax paper when making chocolate covered pretzels?
I read wax paper is best to place chocolate covered pretzels on while cooling. But I’m out of wax paper, and I don’t want to make the 40 min trip to the store to get some. Anyone know a good replacement? Would the pretzels be ruined if I don’t use wax paper?

Best answer:

Answer by Michele
Parchment paper would work.

Or, if you’re in a pinch… lightly spray aluminum foil with Cooking spray. Make sure to spread it as thin as possible or the chocolate pretzels will be greasy.

It is probably best if you use the nestle chocolate morsels- the semi-sweet ones. They make good chocolate covered strawberries.

How to Make Chocolate Covered Popcorn

Chocolate and popcorn: who can resist the temptation of enjoying either of these great treats? When you combine chocolate and popcorn, you really can experience heaven on earth. Who needs those expensive pre-made chocolate covered popcorn baskets or tins when you can make your own at home? Here’s how:

Step 1: Pop the bag of popcorn in the microwave. Remove the popcorn from its bag and put in a large bowl.

Step2: Add salt to the bowl of popcorn. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave. Once the chocolate chips are fully melted, pour the chocolate over the popcorn in the bowl.

Step3: Toss the popcorn in the bowl with two large wooden spoons to evenly distribute the chocolate and the salt.

Step4: Lay a sheet of wax paper over a baking sheet–or two baking sheets if you need! Use the spoons to place the popcorn on the wax paper.

Step5: Once all of the popcorn is on the baking sheet(s), place the baking sheet(s) into the refrigerator to let the chocolate set over the popcorn. When the chocolate looks hard enough, remove the baking sheet(s) from the refrigerator and serve.
