Candy Melts or dyed white chocolate for chocolate covered oreos?

I am looking to make chocolate covered oreos and i’m not sure whether it would be better to use the already colored candy melts (Wilton Pink Candy Melts at Amazon) or buy the white chocolate melts (Wilton White Candy Dips at Amazon) and dye them to the color i’m looking for?
I am looking for those who have experience using these items and which route they would recommend. Serious answers only please.
